Rapid developments in artificial intelligence (AI) are inevitably impacting the field of freedom of expression and journalism, with both new opportunities as well as threats to fundamental human rights. As part of its Human Rights Academy, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, together with the German Embassy called on representatives from the media, IT, and the arts to address these effects in a competition. Out of about 150 submitted, 15 were selected by a jury for the exhibition. The winners of the competition will have the opportunity to tell the story behind their pictures.

Experts from politics, academia, culture and the media provide up-to-date and multi-faceted information about Germany in lectures and panel discussions. The ifa organises the Federal Government's lecture programme together with the German embassies and consulates abroad. It is aimed at multipliers from civil society in these countries.
